The Guide
This course explores a practical, down-to-earth way to build gratitude by working with the elements—recognizing their fundamental nature and daily effect on our lives.
You will get science-backed insights on why gratitude works and guided gratitude practices, including journaling opportunities, sensory exercises, and simple rituals tied to each element. Expect weekly themes, nature-inspired experiments you can do anywhere, and supportive check-ins that help you turn ideas into a steady, personal practice.
By the end, you’ll feel steadier, kinder with yourself and others, and more connected —and you’ll have an elemental gratitude practice that sparks creativity and supports mindfulness to sustain your momentum when life gets messy.

Guide: Day by Day
Your instructor
I’m Kate E. Stephenson, the holistic life coach behind A Guide to Elemental Gratitude. As an educator and facilitator, I’ve spent years helping people slow down, notice what’s meaningful, and build simple practices that bring more presence into everyday life. My approach blends nature-inspired reflection, mindful inquiry, and practical tools that meet learners where they are.
This course is close to my heart because gratitude is a practice with which I struggled —especially when life continued to hurl lemons my way. I needed grounding, clarity, and a renewed sense of wonder. I found that in fire — it literally and figuratively lit the way to gratitude for me.
By working with the elements as anchors, we’ll turn gratitude into a tangible, repeatable practice that fosters resilience, connection, and joy. I’m excited to share these practices with you and create space for insight, creativity, and genuine growth.
